Want to live like a local, even if only for a few days, for less than the price of a hotel room? This cute little bungalow is only two blocks to the base station of the Incline Railway, 3 miles to Rock City and only 4 miles to the heart of Chattanooga ! Located right at the base of Lookout Mountain on a dead end street, privacy is all yours.
This renovated 1940’s one story three bedroom, one and one half bath house, maximum occupancy at all time is 6 people. The neighborhood is locals and a dead end street. Two bedrooms have one queen bed each, and the third bedroom has two twins in a bunk configuration (this third bedroom you walk through to get to the full bath).
There is a half bath off the living/dining room area. One good sized tv is on a swivel in the living/dining room and high speed wireless internet is provided. There is also a queen sized futon and a fold out full sized couch for folks that may not want to share the queen beds. The dining area has a wood dining table with a hand carved bench on one side and comfy individual chairs on the other to easily seat six. In one corner is a high cafe table and overhead light with two chairs for puzzle making, drawing, or computer using. Take a stroll, look up and enjoy the beauty of the mountain.
Walk down the hill past the famous Chattem Chemical Company (founded in 1879 as the Chattanooga Medicine Company - they produce many lovely items including IcyHot, GoldBond, BullFrog, and ACT mouthwash), and just two blocks away are four local restaurants, a coffee roaster, a coffee shop and several other cool little retail shops. The famous Incline Railway is also just a few blocks away, take a ride on the world's steepest passenger train to get an amazing view of our city.
Or, if you decide to stay in for a meal, the Food City Grocery is just a couple of blocks away and the kitchen is equipped with what you need to cook including electric stove, toaster oven, coffee maker, utensils, plates, glasses, and coffee mugs. There is also a terrific farmers’ market every Friday in the Incline parking lot from 4-7p, Main Street Meats that butchers locally sourced options, and Imbibe Chattanooga Wine, Beer & Spirits just a couple of miles north on Broad Street. A bit closer and located just off the kitchen are a full sized washer and dryer.
In the rear of the house is a fenced, private back yard with a deck for relaxing after seeing all the sights. We are still working on the yard a bit, so right now there are some weeds left over, but as time progresses, mulch will appear and additional landscaping will be installed by the property owner. This is not a "typical" "perfectly manicured" suburban back yard where children can play. A charcoal grill is provided, so bring your favorite charcoal, lighter fluid and wood chips. On street parking is available for two cars, just stay on the side of the street where the house is located.

Note: Most of our properties are rural and wooded. Please do not expect a perfectly manicured lawn. We cut a little here and there when we see fit to do so.
