Come stay at the lake! Be comfortable and casual, less than one hour north of Chattanooga on the west side of the Tennessee River/Chickamauga Lake on the Armstrong Slough. Four bedrooms and three full baths on three levels, huge deck and separate patio and two full kitchens and two living areas.
It has a full deck surrounding the house with a full view of the lake only a stone throw away as well as a lower deck also.
On the main level is two bedrooms two baths, one of which has a large jetted tub, a living and dining area with french doors leading out to the deck, a kitchen and a laundry room. One bedroom has a queen bed and its own bathroom with french doors leading out onto the deck. The other bedroom has bunk beds and sleeps 4 (bunk bed are mostly recommended for children). Maximum occupancy at all times is 11 people
Up the stairs you will find another bedroom with both a queen bed and a twin bed. The roof is a little slanted and tall people may have to stoop a bit in order to get around the bed.
In the very downstairs is another bedroom with a queen bed and a bathroom right outside the door. There is also a dining table, kitchen and living area with sliding door going out to the concrete lower deck.
Come and relax in the house and on the patio and deck and enjoy your personal view of the lake.
Internet and TV service can be intermittent. We are experimenting with several options. If they work please consider them a bonus. If they do not work, be prepared to unplug and not have them. A Blueray DVD player is available for netflix etc...or you can bring your computer, HDMI cable, and stream to the TV.
Two other houses are available for a total sleeping availability of 19 people.
This is a main channel location with a covered dock on Armstrong Slough. The dock (not the covered part) is for your use. If you continue straight on Sertoma and do not turn left on Carney you will be driving down to the dock area. The boat ramp here is NOT for your use. There is a public boat ramp about 1 mile away (not usable during November to April, see notes below). Stay on the dirt/gravel drive until you are well past the first dock on the right. After you pass this area you are welcome to drive on the tall grass. Please pay attention to the map that will be sent to you. Please use common sense if it has been raining do not make ruts or get stuck. Be courteous and respectful of neighbors properties/driveways.
When pulling a boat. Maneuvering a boat trailer in the parking area of this cabin as well as the cabin next to it, is tight and does take a considerable amount of skill. Boats can be parked in the field down by the dock. There is electricity on the power pole by the dock as well as between the garage doors at the BRIM cabin. Boats can be parked on the grass below/next to the Brim Cabin.
NOTE: Because Chickamauga Lake is damn controlled, you can expect low water levels starting in early to mid November through mid to late April. The dock is largely unusable at this time. The following public boat ramps are three options for this period of drawdown:
Blythe Ferry Boat Ramp is 4.2 miles from our Lakeside Retreat Cabins and is a nine minute trip according to Google Maps.
Dayton Boat Dock is 4.1 miles from our Lakeside Retreat Cabins and is a nine minute trip according to Google Maps.
Grasshopper Recreation Area Ramp is 14 miles from our Lakeside Retreat Cabins and is a 21 minute trip according to Google Maps.
The Chattanooga, TN-GA Metropolitan Area, is an area consisting of six counties – three in southeast Tennessee (Hamilton, Marion, and Sequatchie) and three in northwest Georgia (Catoosa, Dade, and Walker) – anchored by the city of Chattanooga.
We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, or national origin. We love guests of all types as long as they pay for the use of the property and take good care of that property during their stay.
Note: Most of our properties are rural and wooded. Please do not expect a perfectly manicured lawn. We cut a little here and there when we see fit to do so.
All renters must be over 25 years of age.
